In a truly Hardyan "Gothic" way Thomas Hardy's heart is buried in a grave with his two wives in Stinsford Church cemetery but his body (or at least his ashes) lie in Poet's Corner, Westminster Abbey. In many ways this reflects the quiet, reserved country boy and the supremely talented novelist and poet so much admired by generations of writers including several Poet Laureates.
